Low Carbon Steel has the property of easy machining, good cold working and weld ability. Middle carbon steel is inferior to a low carbon one in cold working and weld ability, but hardening and tempering will increase the hardness, strength and flexibility. The high carbon steel will increase the hardness by hardening and is used for various types of tools. The carbon steel with more than 1% of C contents is separately standardized as SK material of a carbon tool steel. In accordance with the applications and purpose of the products the carbon steel is widely used for various parts by utilizing a variety of carbon contents.
